Interesting things I learn in class today about how
important it is to be aware of what we post and share on Social Media
especially Facebook. Just last week most of my friends shared an article about
a famous Tongan Rugby star (Korad Hurrell) in NZ filming a selfies sex video
with a famous NZ actress (Teuila Bakely). The article mention that the guy was
driving and he film themselves having sex in the car while he was driving. The video
was to send to his friend as Snapchat but however, the article states that they
don’t know who upload it to Instagram and the video had been shared around
before it was deleted. I found this interesting because what I learn about Snapchat
it does not replay what others send you it automatically deletes it. I know that
he regrets this because he post a apologize video to all the Tongans. But I learn
that once things are on the internet will be there forever like tattoos.
Posting
daily activities of their lives on Facebook I found it really annoying when
people do it often. Sharing too much information about them may not be the best
way of social networking. YouTube video that goes viral are shared based on our
interest and videos are either hilarious or emotional. For a video to go viral
must have many followers to share the video and if the video is epic! There will
be more shares. Social media are useful in ways for job interview and are we comfortable
sharing things that we want people to know about ourselves? I share uplifting
quotes and funny videos but I will never imagine myself posting everything
about me my wall. To tie back to our lecture before is that we are what we
share and post, I mostly use Facebook every day. Social media is the most
influence way to advertise on commercial products to consumer. We carry our
device around and we constantly spend time on social media sharing post. Social
media impacts us in a positive and negative ways, but it makes life easier.
